Bypass Question, Quick.

Recommended Posts

So I have gone through the bypass threads but can't pin down an answer for this. Why do you need to move the mute wire? I had the unit hooked using battery charger and speaker yesterday to test it (used unit), and all I did was ground the p-brake wire and seemed to have functionality for everything. Whats the purpose of moving the mute wire?

if you ground the parking brake wire and dont plan on moving u r good. i believe the problem arises when the unit realizes that the wire is grounded (parking brake on) and the unit is moving (faster than 10 mph i think). So u need to ground the right pin to bypass this problem. the mute wire is used because most ppl dont use it for anything else. it really has nothing to do with mute.

or instead of grounding the bypass pin, you can mod the unit to not have a problem until you are doing 256 with the parking brake on. but that is the software bypass

anyone please correct me if i am wrong on this
