AVIC-D1 Video Source Issue and HEAT

Recommended Posts

I have a AVIC-D1. It has a remote DVD player hooked up to the AV-SOURCE connection. In the winter everything works great and I can view DVD's on the main AVIC-D1 screen. When the temperature starts to rise, it gets intermittent and when summer arrives it never works. I can always hear audio, it's only the video that has issues so I know it's not the DVD. I can hook a nother monitor to the DVD and it works fine. All other screen functions work fine so I know it's not the screen. It's also not the temperature of the unit when operating - meaning, when on the unit overheats. I can get in and immediately turn it on. If the outside temp is under 70 degrees, it works fine. If the outside temp is above 70 degrees it won't work.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

John
