knecoli22
I just installed the Z110 in my 2003 F250 Superduty and absolutely love it (eventhough I am looking forward to the Z120 S/W upgrade). Just a quick question, what does the VSS wire get me besides being able to see my speed in the GPS configuration (I believe they call that speed pulse)? My old F90bt pulled speed from the GPS itself, so I dont believe I ever connected the VSS. What will I be missing out on if I do not connect it? If there are any 2003 F250 Superduty owners out there who know where I can tap into the VSS, I would appreciate a point in the right direciton. Thanks!
knecoli22
I would settle for knowing exactly what the Z110 uses the VSS wire for, and what I am missing out on by not hooking it up. Thanks.
VBLUE42
The same thing that has been posted for the last 200 or so people have asked that question over the last several years or so. if its there get it connected. If you still have to have an answer to that question then do a search on the forum for VSS.
79289Chase
There is a VSS wire in your plug for the factory radio. All Fords from around 96-97 up have it in the plug. Almost every modern vehicle has a VSS in the factory radio plug this is how they have sound that goes up with your speed.
