gregb183
I just bought a used unit from a pvt owner and here's what it came with: 1) Antenna adapter to extend the antenna 2)Steering wheel interface (purchase from pacific accessory corp. - SWI-PS) 3)GMCOL29 Peripheral to keep your warning chimes when installing after market to GM vehicles 4)XM tuner to received XM/Sirrus channels GEX-P920XM) 5)Pioneer in dash Navigation Unit (AVIC- X910BT) What else if any do I need before I go get it installed. I'm putting it in my 1998 Buick Park Ave. which has steering wheel controls. Also, is there any updates I may need as I just found out about this fourm so I'm still playing catch up on here. A real neewbie here and this is my first ever NAV system. I want to do it right the first time. Anyway to upgrade it to a X920BT? Just a thought. Any and all help is appreciated. Ixian
You need at the least a harness adapter for your car so you can wire it up outside of your dash, and probably a double din dash kit also specific to your vehicle. Pioneers stupid naming conventions aside the x910 is a completely different unit from the x920bt and there is no way to upgrade to it.
1loudls
yea your park ave shouldn't need the harness with the module the wire harness you need is the scosche gm03b and the dash kit is the gm1590ab
