no sound from nav and phone.

Recommended Posts

The stereo volume is controlled separately from the nav and phone volume. To increase the nav and phone volume, go into your settings and select system settings, then volume. Ensure that the mute button is not selected, otherwise, no matter how loud your volume is set, you will not hear nav or phone. If the "mute" button is not selected, try raising the volume settings for both nav and phone (which you can do independently of each other.) If this doesn't work, check with the dealer for another solution. Good luck.

found out the problem. i have a 2006 dodge charger. it has a factory amp. sooooo..

Since you're reusing the factory amp. The factory amp only takes in a stereo signal and then outputs the 6.1 signal to the 7 speakers. The stereo input of the amp matches directly up with the rear input wires on the deck. So the head unit won't send the Bluetooth or nav prompts through the rear speakers for obvious reason that you're not in the backseat using those features.

So you need to have the installer switch the white and gray wires to the green and purple. No need to hook up the rears off the deck to anything or the fronts on the harness either. It's all explained in the instructions for the CHYAH08 or C2R-CHY4 too. Simple fix
