Want to buy D3 but has no sound????

A local classified ad states the following:

Works but has 2 issues

1.CD eject button is sticky and CD needs a little help when being ejected

2. Sound does not work, all the functions work but for some reason the sound is not coming out of the speakers

Any ideas on a fix for the issue? for $50 it might be worth the cost and my Z2 is pretty much worthless now that the GPS and the cd/dvd drive have failed...
