The cds will play but i have lost all of the headunits functionality. I have been able to mash the buttons sometitmes and it will work normal bur 98% of the time.... Nothing. Just that message. Red Zinger
My F900BT started giving me the same error. It started after I installed the 2010 map package which includes an OS update. When I start the car the splash screen shows briefly, then I get the message about the reversed screen, then it goes away and everything in normal.

Red Zinger
I just found a thread in the d-series that has this same issue. Users there said it is for the backup camera. Maybe the default for the backup camera is "on" even if you don't have one (I don't). The user who posted the problem said he went into the settings and turned off the camera and the problem went away. I haven't gone out to my car to try it yet. Here is a link to that thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3910 If the link doesn't work, copy and paste it into your address bar.
Red Zinger
Yep, I checked this morning and the rear camera was turned on. I turned it off and now I don't get the caution message. The new OS must have it on as a default.
