if you have one of these unit the disk from the D series will work on these unit with a little modification

i just update mine to the new CNDV-100MT works like a charme and yes the maps are definately updated.

here is what you need to do might be a little bit confusing=

 

here's the specific instructions:

 

1.) Upgrade NAV -to cndv-80 disk

2.) Test NAV to make sure everything works with 80.

3.) Put all contents of the 90 (from straight files or ISO) into a new folder

4.) From 80 DVD, copy over to 90 folder:

now copy the entire folder from the 80 disk call=MARKTP} THE WHOLE FOLDER NOT JUST THE FILES OK.

UC010GPS.HTM file

THEN FIND THESE FILES-ON THE 80 DISK AND COPY JUST THE FILES TO THE VOICETP TO 90 FOLDER

UC010VDC.FRA file, from VOICETP folder

UC010VDC.USA file, from VOICETP folder

UC010VDC.ESP file, from VOICETP folder

 

5.) On the 80-DISK , make a copy of:THESE FILES TO 90 MAKE 1 COPY OF THE ORIGINAL NAME THEN A SECOND COPY OF SAME FILE BUT WITH THE NAME LISTED LOOK BELOW

 

EU010APT.HTM TO EU010APL.HTM

EU010APT.PRG TO EU010APL.PRG

UC010DTT.ESP TO EU010DAT.ESP

UC010DTT.FRA TO EU010DAT.FRA

UC010DTT.USA TO EU010DAT.USA

 

..keeping the originals as well.

 

6.) Edit the DVI.DAT file, replacing the following two values in the brackets, to:

 

TP APL VERSION [8.000000]

 

DISC VERSION [08010U00]

 

...save file.

 

7.) Call the DVD,=.Name it (exact syntax): CNDV_90MT_UC_1_A

after you get the 90 working you would do the same for the cndv-100mt

 

 

Then you can burn the DVD.

Or copy those appropriate files to a PCMCIA flash card and then you can just put the 100mt DVD in without modification.

hi Very new here , and call me super lazy . But if you had Paypal I would be willing to pay $25 for two 40R/100mt west disc. Or would even send you my pcmcia type 2 card for updating. my CnDV 40R west is scratch and the east disc is useless to me at this point. So what do you say CHAMP?
