89MustangGX
Looking through the install info for the X920BT I just purchased, I saw a note that caught my eye. I do not intend to install a reverse camera, but there is a note in the install docs that basically says it is also used to help the GPS tell if you are moving forward or backward and help with positioning. I hadn't planned to connect this wire, but now I'm wondering about it. Portable GPS systems I have used have not had issues with this. Is it a big deal and worth hooking up? Or is it considered overkill by the majority here? Thoughts? Adam
rgarjr
it would probably have little effect on GPS, unless you drive in reverse a lot.
89MustangGX
it would probably have little effect on GPS, unless you drive in reverse a lot. That was my general feeling on it, but because of what I read in the manual I wasn't sure. Is this pretty much the general concensus? Adam
VBLUE42
Yes. I wouldnt worry about it unless you plan to install a camera in the future.
