JohnnyDepp
Ok I need to know if anybody ever installed a pioneer 920bt in a Audi a4? Or know of a after market navigation part that is compatible with the factory radio thanks I'm trying to help a buddy upgrade the D3 in his 2008 Audi to an X920BT. I'll let you know when it's done. Might get around to it next week... EDIT: Ok, I successfully upgraded the AVIC-D3 in a 2008 Audi A4 to the AVIC-X920BT. To answer your question, the Fakra twin-diversity radio antenna adapter we got worked.... ....However, we had to carefully remove ONE of the RF connectors from within its green rectangular housing (see photo at either link below). That's because the off-white connector on the Audi's antenna wire had the AM & FM connections RIGHT next to each other, like two circles touching. It couldn't accommodate both the green boxes on the adapter's side. Here's basically the one we used http://cgi.ebay.com/AUDI-VW-Antenna-Adaptor-Twin-Fakra-DIN-Diversity-/300378516724 You could also use the following one... http://www.rondevries.nl/index.php?page=producten_bekijken/detail.php&product_nr=15195&hoofdgroep=121&subgroep=1500
