whit27
Hey guys..... I just bought a Ford Sport Trac used and it has a AVIC D1 with an XM Module. I am looking for help on if there is any way of doing Bluetooth with it? I have searched high and low and can't find anything. Anyone have info or input? Cheers Whit
VBLUE42
You can try the CD-BTB100 or 200 but it is not showing compatible with the D1.
whit27
I know I can try that. The issue is I don't want to put out the money and then install it and find out it doesn't work. Was wondering what other D1 guys are doing for Bluetooth if there is no Bluetooth option for this unit?
VBLUE42
Most people used the add on Parrot options before BT started becoming integrated.
whit27
It would be so much easier if there was an add on for the D1. Maybe I will have to look at upgrading my unit then... Dam.

whit27
I am not concerned about streaming music. I am looking for a nice clean add on for my phone calls.
VBLUE42
Parrot is the way to go if you want that capability with a five plus year old unit.
whit27
So does the parrot unit connect to my head unit or is it a unit that is completely seperate from the head unit?
VBLUE42
It is a separate add on that connects to the unit. Everything will be controlled from the parrot.
whit27
So what is the point of connecting it to the unit?? Why not just buy one of the units that clips to the sun visor?
VBLUE42
You did ask for a solution that could be used with the unit right?
elkay
Is there an easy way to connect the Parrot to the auxiliary on the D1? To me (looking at parrot manual) it looks like they want you to wire it to the speakers or line in.. im guessing by soldering or butt connectors?
