There was a change to the wiring somewhere between 2005 - 2009!

On my 2009 Mustang i had to use a MS.CanBus-Adapter to get the requested signals, like VSS, Handbrakesignal, Light, AMP-signal and even the ACC (ignition+)

I took the C2R-FRD1 from Pac-Audio.

the module/harnesses will read the signals from the can bus, and convert it to something the AVIC will understand, but you should still be able to get the correct signal from their raw source at the sensor or the computer where the sensor is sending its signal, the signal should only be sent through the CAN BUS when traveling from computer to computer (from PCM to gauge cluster for ex:)

I have the C2R-FRD1 pac harness. So it has that connection already?
