famo
Hey All, So I'm a noob to the site, so sorry if this is a stupid question. I hooked up my AVIC-D3 to my 2006 Explorer (hooked up everything VSS, Parking Brake, Reverse, etc), and everything works great EXCEPT for the navigation portion. I can see the maps, and its accurate, however, for some reason, I cannot select my address book, or navigate to anything, only thing I can do is view the map. I've tried resetting the system, multiple times and followed the directions to use the GPS, but it just won't let me do address searches and navigate to anything. It really sucks because it was a deciding factor in getting this system. Please any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

VBLUE42
Then your parking brake wire is not connected correctly.
famo
It is directly connected to the parking brake wire and when I check the status, it does tell me whether it is on of off.
VBLUE42
What you are describing sounds P. brake related. Do you have the original disk that came with the unit?
DJ Hellfire
Do you have the Nav DVD in the disc slot by any chance? Do you have a burned map disc? Some programs don't burn the discs correctly and you end up with this issue (at least with the D2).
