onewheelneil
I tried hooking up my ebay liscense plate camera a little while ago and didnt have any luck.I hooked up my power and ground to my reverse lights at the tailight and hooked that into the camera with the plug, then I ran my yellow rca cable(just one) up to the d3 and plugged in into the brown rca cable labeled(rear view camera) dropped my truck in reverse and got nothing. You guys got any ideas on how I screwed this simple install up??? I mean damn,I only had to splice 2 wires and plug in a labled rca, were could I possibly have gone wrong??

onewheelneil
Gonna try that now.Do you have a back up camera?I was just reading some other threads and people were saying to hook up the 2 wires off my camera to a power and ground not the reverse lights then hook up the rca off the camera to the brown rca off the d3? Would that work?I'll just find the power and ground in the trailer plug, hook my camera wires to it and the hook my rca up and it should work according to the other threads???Beats the heck out of me,I can turn a wrench just fine but wire strippers are a whole nuther ballgame for me,LOL! The install manual will provide the step you are missing.
onewheelneil
I just read the pdf manual and it said something about reversing polarity and something about turning the camera funtion on.I guess I'm going back out to tie into my trailer harness and try the settings on the unit to see if that works
VBLUE42
That wont get you any where. Don't just come to a section of the manual you think solves the problem and then just stop reading. Look over page 12.
