Victorduh
I have a AVIC-X710BT, and it just recently started to not work. It will load, but the screen will stay black. It will play my ipod for about 3 minutes and then cut off and cut back on, and wont play it again. The Pioneer screen comes on and then it goes black, If I click the Map button, it will go to the Map Caution screen, and it will say "System Startup in Progress, please wait", and if I wait, it will just cut off again. w4rh4wk
wow the same questions come up over and over again.. lol. Ok #1 you can try going into "testmode" and deleting the "GPSPARA0.bin","GPSPARA1.bin","GPSPARA2.bin","GPSPARA3.bin". Then reboot the AVIC unit. these files automatically get recreated. If that doesnt work you and try the reformatting and updating the unit by this FX 3.1 Firmware

w4rh4wk
depending on which firmware your headunit had will dictate which "testmode" you will need, search above to find it. for a complete unit reformat click on FX 3.1 Firmware link that i posted above.
