ryan b
I have an AVH-P3200Bt and I'm pre-wiring the radio harness to the car adapter and have some questions. 1. In the instructions it says to hook up the reverse wire so that the head unit knows when the car is in reverse. Should I connect this wire even though I am not hooking up a backup camera (for now)? 2. The instructions say not to cut or shorten any wires. Does that really cause a problem? The wire for the parking brake is way longer then it needs to be since I am going to do the bypass, so I'd rather trim the extra rather then have it all bundled up in the dash. Thanks, Ryan
rgarjr
The reverse wire is mainly for the backup cam, so you don't need it if you dont have a cam. Yeah u can shorten wires, but note that some wires have resistors/fuses near the end of them, so that's why they say not to shorten.
