SigForLife
I am trying to determine how to bypass the nav/dvd limitations on an AVIC n2. I have been researching the issue on this site for over an hour now and I have a question or two. For one, it would be great if someone did a comprehensive post on this subject since there are so many which are only partial, but here it goes: I understand with the N2, that one has to solder to the two points together and saw a post on that. However, I have a grounding question. I understand the parking brake lead has to be grounded all the time. Furthermore, there is apparently an empty harness location (anyone have a picture?) which must be grounded. Many say to pull out the cell mute wire and use to insert into this location. What if one is planning on using the cell mute? Is there a 2nd best wire? Thanks
whtcrxghst
For the N2, you just have to solder or use a circuit tracing pen to connect the two points you read about. Then ground the light green parking brake wire. Thats it!!! Using spare wires is for other models, not the N2
