brauhaus1
I took the f700bt apart to see if the pico fuse was blown because I was getting some noise. After putting it back together, the volume control no longer works but I can push the rotary button up and down and get response. So the rotary function no longer works. I was wondering, is this likely a ribbon cable that has been damaged? If so, does anyone know which ribbon cable the rotary knob uses to communicate with the main board? Theres a few ribbon cables in there, one big one and a few smaller ones. I may try replacing the ribbon cbale to see if that fixes it. Any help much appreciated. 1loudls
A) your completely in the wrong forum, this is for the D-series, and the F-series is a completely different animal B ) take it back apart and see if there is a loose ribbon cable, i tend to believe that if part of the button is working, then it should be plugged in, and that the switch is probably broken. C) if a ribbon cable is dammaged, then it should be pretty easy to see where.
