Need Help w/ F900bt...shuts off at Pioneer logo

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have just acquired an Avic F900bt, the person I bought it from said that he did a reset before he shipped it. So when I plugged it in, it would power up and the Pioneer logo would come up for about 15seconds then it would go black. He said it was working fine for him. Anyways, I did the Full EW backup as stated here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/30773-f900bt-full-ew-backup/

And no luck. When I finally booted into test mode, I realized that their was NO FLASH DISK partition. Maybe he deleted it? So i followed the step by step guide to the link I listed above and still would do the same thing. So then I attempted to install that Pioneer upgrade that was in the tutorial and it wouldn't even recognize that file to upgrade. I've updated the WinCE through the service menu, and still nothing. I'm at a loss now, idk what else to do. Only I could think of now is to do a full wipe and reinstall 2.0; however, I do not know where to find all the backup files. So I really need some help here.

On a side note, I'm currently stationed in Germany and I'm not trying to have to send it in for repair. I'm thinking it's gotta be missing something in the file structure due to it not full booting up. So please...help a fellow avic enthusiast out.

Ok, finally made some progress today. Did a full wipe of partition and reinstalled Pioneer 3.0 firmware along w/ WinCe upgrade and all is working thus far. Since im in Germany, now im in the process of putting EU maps on it.

One more question...is there a way to adjust the screen sensitivity, like make the screen more responsive?

Thanks!
