Test Mode Help

Recommended Posts

I have read through most of the posts related to "test mode" and "testmode" but have had not success.

I've downloaded the test mode files, extracted them, and put them on a 4gb Kingston SD card. I turn the F910BT on and it just starts normally... no test or service mode.

Any ideas?

1) Must the SD card have NOTHING else on it?

2) Must it be formatted in a certain way? The SD card CAN be read for images, et al.

3) Any other resources for Test/Service Mode files that will work? I've noticed some of the links here don't work.

I really appreciate the help!!!

1. other directories are allowed (mine has more than only the testmode-map on it and works fine on the F500...)

2. don't think that formatting is the problem if you can read images from it

3. my F500 is connected to the key-contact. Just shutting down the GPS is not enough for mine. Ik have to shuttdown, then turn the ignition-key off and back on to boot from the USB-stick. Maybe try that.

And of course : make sure you have the correct files on the stick on the right directory...

the files from the testmode rar or zip need to stay in a 'testmode' folder on the SD card for it to work... try that
