whoanelli
First of all thanks to all that reply... I just got the x930BT installed in my '08 Mustang. I had upgraded previously w/ the Shelby Kicker package that includes: 2 Pair (4 total) of 6"x8" long throw speakers. Pair of 8" woofer door speakers. 10" trunk mounted subwoofer. 4.1 Channel Amp I had the AVIC professionally installed at a shop that has done excellent work for me before. My problem is this: I have no sound from my rear deck speakers and the sub seems "muted" and doesn't really respond to changes in subwoofer output from the AVIC. I'm a little confused by the manual as I don't even have the option of Front to Rear fading from the menu.... Am I wrong in assuming (since it doesn't give me the option), that if I turn the sub off, the rear speakers should "appear?" The bottom line is I have no sound and I'm wondering if the AVIC will only do a sub OR speakers in the rear and not both? I called the shop and they're going to look at it and I just want to make sure I'm not assuming something wrong. Does anyone have front/rear speakers AND a sub all working together with their x930BT? "Setting the rear output The navigation system’s rear output can be used for a full-range speaker or subwoofer connection. If you switch “Rear SP†to “Sub. Wâ€, you can connect a rear speaker lead directly to a subwoofer without using an auxiliary amp. Initially, the navigation system is set for a rear full-range speaker connection (“Fullâ€). Both rear speaker leads output and RCA rear output are switched simultaneously in this setting. (When you use the product without RCA rear output, this setting only applies to the rear speaker leads.) “Rear SP†can be set only when the source is selected to “Offâ€. 1 Display the “AV System Settings†screen. 2 Touch [Rear SP]. Each touch of [Rear SP] changes the settings as follows: ! Full When no subwoofer is connected to the rear output, select “Fullâ€. ! whoanelli
60 views and no luck! Doesn't anyone out there have a 930BT with both rear speakers and a subwoofer? Oh well, it's a great forum and I've learned alot prior to my purchase. Hopefully the installer can undo what I think is a connection error..
Junkhead
If your current amp is factory/stock then that could very well be your problem right there. On the last 2 vehicles i have owned both wiring diagrams said with the new harness that you could not use the factory 4 channel amp because the fading is controlled by the factory radio, no aftermarket radio can control this on factory amps. So what you have to do is wire the FRONT SPEAKER OUTS from the new car stereo (x930)to the REAR SPEAKER OUTS of the wiring in your vehicle.
Ramrodthrusterpuppy
I have the exact same issue with my 2010 Ford F-150 Raptor with the Sony 700W stereo. Apparently, you cannot connect 2 sets of rear channel speakers through the X930BT?!!
