London Dub
So my car (2003 VW GTI) has a red theme to all of the stock buttons. Has anyone removesd teh faceplate off of a D2 and tried to replace the filter (if possible) to get something ither than a green light?? Or are there LED's that control the green colour, making this impossible?
JasonH
The LED's are green. If you were REALLY skilled, you could de-solider the LED's and replace them with red ones.
tillithz
I have done this (not on a d2) on a factory hvac system and it worked out 'ok'. KNowing what I know now, I dont fell it was worth it. Maybe the same is true for the d2 led's
madmanfrommars
I've actually debated buying a faceplate (for the N series) from ebay or something and giving it a try. Doesn't seem worth it, because even if it works, the buttons on the top of the screen will still be a different color (and those I'm definitely not fucking with). By the way, does anybody know if the faceplates between the n1-n3s are interchangeable?

Darnit - I consider myself 'more than average' skilled - but I highly doubt I could tackle that......
