I have just purchased a Pioneer AVIC-F920BT, this is my first Pioneer multimedia head unit, I have defected from the Alpine camp. I live in the UK and I am looking into what my unit is capable of but I am a little confused by all the software and model version floating around. What is the latest firmware and map version for a European F920BT? And are all the software hacks mentioned on this site available for my model of head unit or any F series model? Also there seems to be a lot of discussion about the video bypass for the Pioneer units and again please forgive my ignorance but on my old Alpine IVA-D310 all you had to do is ground the cables that were for the handbrake I take it this is not the case for Pioneer?
