bit_bucket
As we all know these units don't sport voice control. I found a way around this using the iPhones built in voice control. If you hold the home button for a few seconds to activate voice control as you normally would on the iPhone the voice control pops up and uses the car speaker and microphone. Just say your command at this point like call "foo" and it will call. I have found this pretty handy. What would be cool is if Pioneer made a way to trip the voice command by holding the center button on the app radio. The more and more I use the app radio the more I see I am not giving up functionality but just shifting the functions from one device to another.

I know I tried the iPhone's voice recognition functions before but I thought they were pretty bad- I may have to give it another shot. Are you bringing the iPhone up to your face when you do the voice commands- or is the phone mounted on the dash?
bit_bucket
Right now it is in a cubby at the bottom of my dash. It is nowhere near my face.

AppRadio Central
Dragon Dictation is another good addition to your voice control capabilities. It's free on the US App Store. I'm not sure about other regions.
pghjerry
Siri works great too (the new iPhone Personal Assistant)
bit_bucket
It sure does. It would be nice of we could initiate vc by holding the home button or something.
