ThumperPup
did i mess up my power harness or will it still work i am able to snapp the white plastic part back on no problem but when i was trying to move the mute wire the plastic part just broke off i plugged it into the unit to make sure it fit nice and snug still and it does but did this one plastic part breaking off damge the rest of my harness ? or am i still ok ? ThumperPup
also i just can't seem to get it out so i am thinking maybe of finding something thin enough to fit in the small holes on the harness and push the plug out going in from where it would plug into does that makes seance anyone know what is small enough to fit in there ? munnarg
This video shows how to remove the wire with less hassle by using something to insert in the harness from behind.
ThumperPup
yeah i found that after watching the other one how ever that video didn't show anything about grounding the other wires together wich made me think maybe that was not the correct process but i did use a paper clip to push it out out and then i moved it down one spot and when i put it in i put it in nice and snugg i hear it click and it is just as snug as it was before i took it out so im confident i did it correctly im just wondering if i messed up the harness plug itself when that broke but since the plastic part snapped right back on and it plugs in to the unit without an issue nice and snug im thinking it will be fine
munnarg
If you're that worried about the harness, why not just glue the piece back on with krazy glue or something?
ThumperPup
i wouldn't say im totaly worried i am just asking if i screwed it up or does that plastic not affect the way it works i can snap it back in and it stays in but not with as much preassure as it had so did i mess it up am i going to have a problem with the harness or is it going to be ok
munnarg
As long as the pin still snaps into place securely then you're fine.
