Hello Everyone, this morning I had some trouble with my Z120BT. I opened the face with the SD Insert button, put in my SD card, and hit the hardware close button, but the face would not close. The only way I could get it to close was to remove the SD card. After a few tries doing this, I managed to get the face to close with the SD card inserted. Now, when I try to open the face again, the two options are Open and SD Insert (when there is already a card in there). Pushing both buttons does the same thing, the face will NOT open. Also, the tilt buttons are greyed out. No matter what I do, I cannot get the face to open. It just beeps 5 times and the door never moves. I tried doing a factory reset, as well as removing the positive battery terminal on my car for 5 minutes to do a full reset, same result.

I called Pioneer, they said there is no hardware reset button on this headunit and they want me to send it in for service in Markham to get it repaired.

I don't mind doing that, but I'm wondering if anyone has some suggestions before I go through the hassle of removing it from the car.

Thanks in advance.

I figured this out myself. Turns out the SD Card was bad which caused the face not to close the first time. I was finally able to open the face by pushing the eject button, and pulling HARD on the front hardware button lip edge to FORCE the face to pop out and eventually push it down. After I did this, I ejected the SD card and when I pressed the front hardware close button, the face closed up normally. Pressing eject again, it opened up normally, so gladly there was no damage to the motor. I later found out the SD Card was the culprit, as when I plugged it into my home computer, the drive letter for it no longer came up. I replaced it with another SD Card and all is well.
