Bcian320
ok, im new to this board and I just installed my appradio, Radio works fine, but as soon as I connect my iphone and turn the appradio app on on the iphone, the screen turns blank/black and will stay that way until i press the home button on the radio and/or disconnect the phone. the same thing happens when I tap the ipod icon on the radio. My iphone connects and it charges when all of this happens. Everything seems to be connected correctly and I did this brake bypass, which im probably going to be changing to a basic switch but it still should not deter my iphone from connecting properly. Also, the damn demonstration/appradio ad pops up after a couple minutes without touching the screen, how do I get rid of this? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
Bcian320
just for anyone that has the same problem, ill answer my own question the "batt" wire and the ac on wire were switched so it was resetting the appradio every time the car was turned off. duh on my part but I had the wrong color coded diagram for my car, so partially not my fault although i should have checked. and i had a dock extension and when i took it off, it worked fine for a couple connections. then it went back to having the blank screen when launching appradio on the phone. i rechecked the wiring, hooked up the axxess aswc (awesome product btw) and played around with the switch by getting rid of the relay, still with no luck, so i put everything back together, like i said, got rid of the relay bypass crap, hooked up a switch and after starting the car up after a while, everything works fine, apps work well, pandora, maps, xdrive etc. Dont know what it exactly was, but im glad it works... hope this vague explanation of my own problem helps someone later down... bullseyereinhart
Sounds like your Ipod connection cord is bad.. I Had the same problem with mine and ended up finding a couple breaks in the cable after disecting it. t
bullseyereinhart
It is a poorly made cable that cannot handle the typical wrap up and ziptie center. It will damage the cable.
