I recently installed an AVIC-Z1 (with Z3 maps and software) in my truck. I let a friend borrow the truck and he accidentally turned the volume up to the point where the head unit made a popping sound and turned off. We can't get it to power back on. All fuses are intact and I'm not sure where to go with this next. Does anyone have any experience with this?

This is the exact same thing that happened to my HD3II. Basically the psu has gone and taken a few other parts with it. Only way of fixing it is sending it to Pioneer or a specialist. Pioneer now have redesigned some of internal replacement parts so once fixed it shouldnt happen again.

Repair cost £165!
