simonyahn Posted April 16, 2012 Report Share Posted April 16, 2012 Has anyone purchased the $25 External Display for MotionXGPS and used it with the AppRadio? Currently I'm running MotionXGPS and the head unit displays the maps with touch functions for zoom in, mute live voice, change maps, and display turn list. The iPhone allows more and was wondering what is included in the External Display package and if it allows you to change your music from the head unit rather than the iPhone. I watched a youtube and it looks like you can do things on your iphone while it is still running on the AppRadio. I was hoping it would let me use the HU as the control point. ronsno Posted April 21, 2012 Report Share Posted April 21, 2012 After email discussions with MotionX, the AppRadio does not need the External Display option. This is only for the AppRadio 2 which apparently you have to pay the additional $25 to make it work. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
