IR receiver

Recommended Posts

Hey guys-

I bought a DVD player that has an input for a remote extender. The one that came with it is huge and since I'm mounting it in my car I want it to be a small as possible

I've searched Google and eBay and I can't come up with what I need. Its a little IR receiver eye that ends in a 3.5 mm headphone jack with two stripes on it.

Does anyone know exactly what its called? Or where I can get one?

Thanks for any help

Thanks for the offer cntrylvr, I really appreciate it.

The thing is, maybe these aren't the same, but the ones I'm thinking of are maybe 1/2" tall, by 1/4" wide by 1/4" deep.

I have one as an extender for my Leapfrog IR extenders to send the signal through walls, and its about that size, but it only has one strip on the jack and doesn't work in the DVD player.

Thats what I'm thinking of, but is that the same thing as what I'm asking for?
