Stuthe
I installed my Appradio 2 about a week ago and did not hook up the brake wire. I touched the wire to the frame for one series of touches and the radio has not asked for it since. I am able to use the radio, connects for the few applications available, with no issues. Am I missing something?
VBLUE42
This could get interesting. So you did this once and you have never had to ground the P brake wire sense? So you can drive the vehicle had have all controls working with the unit locking you out, video and navi?
Stuthe
Yes, did the routine one time and have not had to do it since. The wire is just hanging out on the floor. I am using an HTC Rezound. As far as I can tell I can use them all. I have not done any video but I can use the apps associated with the AppRadio app. Only used Waze just to see if it worked and had no issue and no request for parking brake. Edit: Just checked video, which will not play unless the wire is grounded. So that is what I was missing. Of note, it did not ask me to set, unset and set the brake as I thought it would. I just grounded and video stared playing. Also, Waze did start without the need to ground the wire. FYI, I did the most recent update.
