First time installed my avic-920bt - Please Help

Hello everyone,

 

So i fitted my headunit sucessfully, music plays, radio works, and i can skip,mute tracks etc.

 

Problem:

The problem is that i think the headunit doesnt recognise the car hand break?

I think this because even with parking break on, i cannot enter any address for the sat nav to work, also same goes to phonebook/phone settings. All options are there but greyed out so i cannot select the options.

 

When i press map, i see a map with current location, i just cannot insert a address to start the navigation function.

As mentioned previously above, i cannot connect my phone also therefore atm its just a cd player, no sat nav, no bluetooth connection.

 

Please help me guys

Is it something to do with the unit not being able to register the cars parking break?

 

EDIT: I havent tried bypassing it, and also i dont have the a/v in/out wire plugged in as i dont have one(i was told you only need it for subwoofer out

put or reverse camera?)
