amdhunter
Does that mean that anyone can just steal this radio and have at it? Or is there anyway to secure the device against theft?
late
Does that mean that anyone can just steal this radio and have at it? Or is there anyway to secure the device against theft? a security code is not going to stop anybody from stealing the stereo?
amdhunter
Yeah, but if a thief knows that these radios can be taken out and sold easily, it kind of makes it a higher profile target.
VBLUE42
He will steal it regardless if he knows its got a security code. And no, this unit doesn't offer this feature. Pioneer will likely be removing this feature from all of their future units because they have more owners that forget the code and lock themselves out of their own units then they have prevented thefts. That is exactly why Kenwood did away with the feature as well.
tls2000
If anyone stole one of these radios they'd probably return it with a bill for the inconvenience that it caused them. lol
problemchild1976
haha!! i like my double DIN adaptor allows the unit to be fitted from behind so without taking the dash apart, there is no way they can steal it (shame they won't find that out until they have pulled my door off its hinges first!!) but you could always get one of these..........
