jetnjester
I have 2 mic's - one from an older AVIC - Z3 and my new one for the Z140. Does anyone know the logistics about installing a "Y" splitter to better the voice pick up? Thanks
jesnic
Are you driving a dump truck with the windows down? I have the z140 in a cummins diesel (very, very loud) and the single mic pics up great.
Camelonian
I'd be interested to know if that's a possibility. My truck's true dual exhaust is loud and if a passenger attempts to talk to the person on the phone, they will have difficulty being heard.
JohnK
I've Y'ed identical condenser mics in my pro audio gear ... these are balanced mics though, but the sound is clear and from what I can tell completely unaffected by the Y. The mics are the same brand and model though. The car stereo mics should be condenser or electret (a form of condenser), but I've never tried doing a Y on unbalanced mics. Camelonian
Did anyone have a chance to try this out?
Rathric
Anyone able to find this mini Y adapter? I have the Parrot dual mic and only have one hooked up and has worked great.. would like to add second one just to see if it works.
TheRook53
Typically the one mic should be better than two because it only has a preamp rated for one mic. But it's worth a try let me know.
