Getting rid of Liability Screen avic 930

Not sure if this is obvious or already well known but I discovered a way to pretty much eliminate the liability screen on my avic 930.

 

Turn you volume on the Nav instructions to zero.

Set a point of interest to a place you will never get to and accept the route.

The liability screen is disabled until you reach the POI so it never comes up.

 

Works great if you only occasionally use the nav part of the unit. Allows you to make phone calls and get to the short cut menu without going through the liability screen. Only downside I can think of is the thing is working harder recalculating the route, but it does not seem to affect the unit. I suppose it may use more power.
