AVIC F930BT / AVIC X930BT - Sat nav always takes me through country roads

Hello,

 

I recently purchased the AVIC - F930BT UK Model.

I have bypassed the system and the bypass has worked 100% All functions work during driving, and Ebrake off.

 

However after testing the sat nav on 1hour long journeys, I discovered that the system likes to take me through countryside roads/lanes (Really narrow roads)

 

1. I have set my sat nav to DO NOT AVOID MOTORWAY

2. Set option to take main roads

 

So howcome this sat nav still takes me through these small roads? I have a seat leon FR and it does not like tight narrow roads which are very bumpy!!!!

Driving these types of roads will slowly damage my car, therefore this system needs to be fixed ASAP!

Nobody knows the answer to this?

Is it possible to use tomtom instead? (Load tomtom onto my unit? F930BT/X930BT?

 

Or should i buy the update firmware? Which unlocks the features of a F940BT/X940BT?

(Basically so i get app mode and can use my tom tom app on my iphone)

 

Is this a good idea?

Or is there a simple fix which i have missed?
