AVIC-X910BT - USB Cable Problem

Recommended Posts

I posted a reply to a similar post about this, but the original poster had pissed off the mods. So I figured I'd start my own thread.

I am looking at purchasing an X910BT from a guy that broke the USB cable off the back also. Where can I get a replacement cable? Pioneer direct or something? I have a friend that repairs electronics for a living, and on the side and said he can replace the cable, I just need to get the new cable somewhere. Any suggestions? Also, what should I pay for the unit with all this being said? the GPS antenna is missing ($30 on Ebay though).

The guy wants $225 as is. I would still have to buy the new antenna and USB cable, then have my friend repair it. He claims the unit works, but no way to test it. Kind of a gamble really I guess. But if it does work, and I can get it repaired, I'd be in it for a good price I think. I had an F90BT previously, and loved it (post update of course).

Thanks to anyone that can offer me advice. :-)

I called Pioneer and got the part number for the X910BT USB cable - it's CDE9102 - in case anyone else runs into this issue. It just plugs into the main board inside the unit. Just have to take top off, remove drive tray, and it's right there. Had it back together and hot wired on the table in 15 minutes.

I ended up talking the guy down to $175 for the unit. Just had to buy the USB cable, GPS antenna, iPod cable, and the Mic. All in all, I have $260 invested in this system. Not bad! Works great too! I had an extra backup camera so I installed that yesterday too. Love this Pioneer line!!!
