you can connect a avic f500bt to pc!

hello all..i was given an avic f500bt from one of customers..i'm a master auto tech who owns my own shop for 33 years...problem with the avic i was given is the keyboard does not work all that great...so after spending $120.00 us for the cnsd-350fm..which is pioneers latest update ...i found that i'm not able to enter the password from pioneer to install the update..getting frustrated i started playing...guess what? you can connect it to a pc and access all files!! no need to use a sd card..

 

1) get the testmode file from this forum

 

2) load test mode to sd card

 

3) turn unit on

 

4) go to windows control panel on f500

 

5) go to usb client switch in control panel

 

6) select mass media (from scroll down list)

 

7) connect micro usb to pc

 

8- go to your pc/harddrives look for TFAT...this is the drive on the f500

 

makes modding one hell of a lot easier!

 

now if someone could point me in the direction of some maps (downloads not torrents) files i'd really apprciate it
