cntrylvr79 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 I highly doubt the upcoming software update is going to change the ipod/sirius integration of the d1/2. Look at what happened with the n series when the ipod interface changed. It was an actual chip inside the brain that was changed. With d3 being a complete overhaul of the previous generations, I don't see it even being possible to just swap chips like was possible with the n series. On a final note, look at the actual ipod interface now. Last years was a big box and all. Now it's just a single cable that has it's own proprietary plug on the back of the unit.
