htc one x connection problem, screen flashes garbage x950bh

Hi,

 

I just installed my system, the bypass is done and works fine. BT is paired and app radio bt works fine for music seaming, however when i connect the mhl cable, the screen on my phone flashes garbage, lines and white noise . When i select the apps button on the unit i get a blue screen and a small sliver at the top seems to be my phone's screen. If i touch the blue screen i get a do not touch screen Icon flashing.

 

I cant seem to find any setting in the phone for the video output.

 

Any body can help?

Hmmm, even with my limited French i don't think that has anything to do with my problem.

 

I did figure out that if i went to the settings of my phone and clicked on media link, then plugged in to the deck that a video would play, introducing the media link option in the HTC. However ad soon as I hit a button on the phone the deck screen would go blue and the phone screen would go garbly again.

I tested the pioneer mhl adapter on my tv so that works, and the usb from the 950bh has enough power to charge the phone when plugged directly to the phone. I did a factory reset on the phone and reinstalled the appradio apps.

I'm at a loss.

I don't have this set up... but do you have to do some sort of gesture on the HTC phones for that? I think its a 3 finger swipe up or down on the screen to go into media link mode.

That I did not try, I will tonight.

 

I bought a new HTC One to test and when I hooked it up to the mhl on the 950 I saw my phone screen. I'm not sure that was supposed to happen.
