jp_kranenb
So i bought an openbox n1 from a futureshop last year and had it installed. Now when i bought it, it was missing some stuff like nav discs but it was also missing the installation manual. So i've only had it in the car for like 10 months or so and there's been lots of other problems i've had to fix with the system and everything so i'm finally focusing on the headunit and want it all to work the way it should. When i'm on vehicle dynamics it wont show speedo or acceleration at all, was there something that they missed conecting? and if so what would be required for me to hook it up? thanks
aznsmartass24
you get what you pay for. Why on earth would you buy an open box unit... especially a N1. They stopped making those years ago
jp_kranenb
cause i got it for a hundred bucks
John@20Squared
you get what you pay for. unfortunately he is right. there are certain things that you can get away with and certain things you can not. Stereo systems seem to be something that you never buy used or open box.
cntrylvr79
Does the navigation work properly? If so then it's an issue with the vss wire either not being hooked up or not being hooked up right. Year/make/model of the car would be helpful
jp_kranenb
yeah everything works fine except for the vehicle dynamics and I drive a 96 honda civic cx.
cntrylvr79
Ok go to the connection status screen and drive the car a bit. does the speed pulse number go up? If not then the vss wire is not hooked up or has a bad connection. Your vss if not hooked up is blue/white at the cruise control module under the driver's side dash. jp_kranenb
um, the car doesn't have cruise control, so i'm guessing it wouldn't be in the cruise control module
cntrylvr79
Ok then it should be the same color in a 20 pin harness above the fusebox in the driver's underdash.
