imapwnu
Hi guys, Just got in my AppRadio 3, I am long due for an upgrade... it's going to be replacing my ancient AVIC F900BT which I got from DIAFTIA from this forum a few years back (bought his car). I have a few questions, mainly to do with installation, if you guys can help me out: 1) Can I use the existing wiring harness and just "plug and play" in place of my AVIC? I'm asuming no, but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. 2) Can I use the built-in USB cable that's already on the AR3 + an HDMI cable->Apple Digital AV adapter->iPhone to connect my setup? Or do I have to buy the specific Pioneer wiring kit CD-IH202 - http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Accessories/Smartphone-and-iPod-Cables/CD-IH202? 3) I will be using MicroBypass, I heard this affects FW updates and that you have to have your iPhone connected and the AppRadio app open to be able to update firmware via the built-in USB cable using a USB stick. Again, meaning I have to use that CD-IH202 kit to connect my iPhone in the process. Is that right? Thanks in advance!
