thegame181
Got a question for everyone, my D1 screen has been unable to slide down. Actually it slides down in the morning, gets stuck during the day, and then at night time it will slide down again. Is it because the system gets too hot cause I live in AZ. Any suggestions would be great.
jimmy303
It's possible that heat may have something to do with it, but, just to be sure, make sure that the mechanismis not hanging up on the dash fascia.

coocho
How hot does it get? Search for the operating temperatures. I know it does not like near freezing temperatures, but im sure its the same for hot temperatures. ANd what do you mean by slide down? Slide down to DVD slot one or two? If you need to get to the bottom one, hold the eject button.
aghaashireh
I'm not sure, but try Eject and RESET and let go of reset while still holding down EJECT button for 2 seconds. This did it for me.
thegame181
Ok, let me explain it again sorry. I live in Tucson Arizona, gets hot as heck down here. In the morning, it is nice and breezy. When I push the open button the screen will slide down in the morning. In the afternoon it gets blazing hot here, and when I start my car and try to push the open button the screen won't move. You hear the click sound but nothing happens. At night time I go out and it is nice and cool here at night. When I go out at night time around 9, when I start the car and push the open button the screen will slide down again. Any help here will be appreciate. Thanks.

thegame181
I have a 2005 Acura RSX. Which eject button? Do you mean the one behind the screen or the one that says "Open on the screen." Where is the reset button?? Sorry about the questions.
cntrylvr79
Reset button is the indentation next to the joystick on the left side. He means the open button. Type S or no.

jimmy303
Try adjusting the D! a dot higher in the dash opening, or file off about 1mm of the dash fascia opening under the head unit. Heat may be causing the dash pieces to expand, and, if the D1 is in just the right place, it might hang up on the way out.
kerrys914
Another thing to try as a test to see if the D1 is getting tweaked. Pull the D1 unit out of the dash slot about 1/2 way or so. (this should relieve and pressure buildup from a tweaked dash) - Test the operation in the AM, based on your above post things should work fine. - Test the operation around 1:00 or ? to see if it NOW works. If it does you have a tight install and it's getting tweaked as the dash heats up. Just an idea
Itchy
Astroglide it.
Clubrhythm
Exact same issue here....I called Pioneer today and they said that they were only aware of the N1 and N2 having this issue, not the D1. I just submitted the service request and I will post the Pioneer response here.
