whodat90
So I'm a colossal anus and tried to update my x930 with x940 firmware, whcih mostly bricked it. Does anyone have a backup of the x930 files?
IIMacGyverII
Are you extracting the files from the ZIP file or just putting the zip file on the SD Card? It sounds like its not seeing the files. Thats probably why you would get a ---.---- instead of a ucom number. The 5.1 firmware needs the Navteq update T1000-20495. Are you sure that is the Navteq you used to update before? If it's not then maybe you need the 4.6 x940bt firmware. You can also call pioneer customer support and they will probably help you. They have helped me with my firmware and iphone 5 kit problems.

IIMacGyverII
Make sure the SD card is formatted in fat32 or fat16. No other filesystem format. Do you have a PC you can try to put the files on from? Small chance but it might work. try calling them, i sat on hold for 5 minutes the first time and 20 the second but they helped me both times. whodat90
I found the user folder here http://www.4shared.com/file/rvUcjX7j/File_structure_and_USER_folder.html and copied that to my avic, now most things work. Updated to firmware 3.1 and then reapplied my 2013 map update and all is well. Rear speakers didn't work at first, but that turned out to be related to an amp failure.
