Avic Z140 upgraded to iPhone 5 using CD-IV2020 Navi cable

Hello good people

 

I just upgraded my AVIC Z140 to work with my iPhone 5S. To do this, I had to purchase the CD-IV2020 NAVI cable from Pioneer (C$99.99) and an Apple VGA to lightning adapter (C$55.00). Also had to do a firmware upgrade from Pioneer (free).

The installation went well and on the whole the app radio side is working fine.

I have however come across the following issues:

 

1. Prior to doing the upgrade, I could stream my music via Bluetooth audio without having to plug in the iPhone. Not anymore. Have to connect via app radio mode with the iPhone connected. If I try to connect direct I get a "connection not available" message.
2. The aux input does not work. I have a RCA cable with 3.5mm mini jack connected to the audio input at the back of the HU. Could be a settings thing.
3. The USB input seems to just charge the iPhone. When I plug in a USB flash drive with music loaded, nothing happens.

Any comments would be welcome.

With Appradio mode enabled Bluetooth streaming doesn't work.

I Learned it hard way.

 

If you want Bluetooth Streaming then you have to disable Appradio mode.

 

First Point in Important section of your firmware update instruction.
