Wheel sensor instead of VSS??

I can use the wheel sensor instead of the VSS correct?

 

Also the wheel sensor is analog (sensor+, sensor-)

 

Should I crimp into the Sensor+ side?

 

I have a 2006 Zephyr, Was at dealer today and they looked through the manuals and we searched and could not find VSS. No physical sensor, built into tran module.

 

So I found the wheel sensor and wanted to use that?

Yes you want the + side of the wheel speed sensor. By the way you really should solder that one. Being as the connection is going to be exposed to the elements you don't want to take the chance of the conenctor failing or anything.

Thanks alot. I chose the neg one the other day thinking that I wanted the return. More of a digital guy.

 

Thanks, yeah I actually bought a plastic container with feed throughs to put the connection in.
