4000nex eq settings

I'm not impressed with the amount of possible eq settings.  I finally replaced my JVC knx7000 (5 yrs old) with a the 4000nex (touch screen went out on my JVC, didn't need navigation).  It had preset eq settings for most genres of music and then I tweaked from there.  In the end I had a really good sound, but don't want to spend the next 5 years trying to get there again.

 

I run 2 10inch subs in a sealed custom box. I listen to mostly hip/hop/dance/trance/pop music.  I know I just listed like 5 different settings on most systems, but someone has to listen to one of these.  Maybe we can create a thread for beginners for each genre and decent eq settings to start from to tweak their system.

 

also I read some where in the manual that the subwoofer is set to be MONO, how can I check on the system to see if its stereo (besides fade balancing/looking at each sub/etc).
