kush1007
Im using a factory back up cam in 08 tahoe. When putting into reverse works like a charm. However if i use the maps button for rear view it does not work. If i put vehicle in reverse and hurry up and press the map button after out of reverse the rear view cam can be seen for about 10 secs. Just wondering if anyone uses this feature with factory back up cam? I think its because camera not always powered.
ericvic
I have an F150 with factory backup camera and the map button works fine for me. But my camera is powered up all the time. When I tapped into the video feed I could see the camera all the time even when the truck in not in reverse. Some factory cameras remove power when not in reverse so maybe that is what is happening to you.
kelkin
Using the map button on my Prius with OEM camera, works fine... Though when I say using, I mean it works when I tried it.. I don't actually have a use for it though... I only need it when backing up... Which brings up a question I'll post separately
Kura
I have pioneer ND-BC6 and map button doesn't work. Camera is powered from back light so when not on reverse it isn't working.
