7knex
I just got a 7000nex. Mine has firmware ver 1.01. I don't have an iPhone (I have an Android). I read on the Pioneer site that the 1.06 --> 1.08 upgrade seems to mostly be for Apple CarPlay stuff. What I didn't see is a list of what 1.01 --> 1.06 does. So, what are the differences between 1.01 and 1.06 and I guess 1.08? We any major or annoying problems introduced by any of the upgrades? Would it be worth it to upgrade, or should I follow the "if it ain't broke...." mantra and stick with the standard firmware? Thanks Steve AVIC 7000NEX
joemamma1954
I would say if everything works like you want and expect, just run with the 1.01. I on the other hand, like to have the latest firmware on all my electronic devices. But again, it is your call. The firmware did have some other things besides CarPlay, that was just the biggest part of it.
7knex
I normally like to keep my "stuff" up to date as well. I have seen a few threads as I perused the forums with folks complaining about this and that, but it didn't seem to be a huge problem. I was hoping that someone would have a list of what had changed. Most software places put out a text file with updates that coveres all of the updates up to date.
