cekeel
I recently had a new N3 installed in my wife's '06 Pathfinder; everything works great except the FM radio. Stations that came in clear and strong with the factory radio are now weak and "staticy!" I've checked the antenna connection dozens of times, tried using a signal booster from Radio Shack, and just yesterday put in a Dakota Digital powered interior antenna, but all to no avail. Anybody have any advice or suggestions on how to get my FM stations back?? Thanks in advance for any help!
cntrylvr79
Is the power antenna lead hooked up in the wire harness? It's the blue wire.
cekeel
Unfortunately, the Pathfinder doesn't have an external antenna. As such, I believe the power antenna lead in the wiring harness is simply terminated. Am I correct in understand this lead only functions to raise or lower a motorized antenna, as in not constant "hot" when the radio is the selected source?
cntrylvr79
It also powers an inglass antenna too. If your truck doesn't have a regular mast antenna on the pass. fender, then look closely at the rear side windows. There should be lines in them. That is the vehicle's antenna. cekeel
That makes sense... thanks for the info. I'll try to connect the power antenna lead on the harness to the power lead on the new Dakota Digital antenna and see what happens. Thanks again!
